Custom Domain with Namecheap

This article provides instructions for setting up Custom Domain specifically for configuring your domain in your Namecheap control panel. These instructions assume you have already registered a domain with Namecheap. For general instructions, please visit here and for a Video Tutorial click here

Step 1 - Log in to your Namecheap Account


Go to Namecheap.com to Login to your account.


Step 2 - Manage Domain


At the top menu bar, hover over DOMAINS to display a menu and select Manage Domains.


Step 3 - Select Domain


Under the heading DOMAIN NAME, select the domain you want to map by clicking on the link.


Step 4 - Select All Host Records


Under Host Management on the left, select All Host Records in order to edit your domain settings.


Step 5 - Edit CNAME Record


Under the SUB-DOMAIN SETTING line, enter how you would like your subdomain to be seen by clients.  We are using 'galleryas our subdomain.

Under the IP ADDRESS/URL enter exactly: domain.pixieset.com
Select CNAME (Alias) as the RECORD TYPE in the drop down menu
Under TTL enter exactly: 1800

Click Save Changes.




Step 6 - Link Your Domain to Pixieset

Log into the Pixieset Dashboard, Click on My Profile >  Options. 

Enter your custom domain name (e.g. gallery.myphotostudio.com without http://) in the Custom Domain field and hit Save.  That's it!

You may need to wait up to 48 hours for your DNS propagation and your custom domain mapping is ready.
